Setup Option Changes, Footnotes and Uploading PDF Files
June 29, 2016Greetings Silvrbackers!
We have a number of updates I wanted you to know about. First, we've made the avatar/profile image in the Gorilla UI theme optional. You can set this up from your account controls menu using the UI schemes for your blog and editor link from your blog setup screen . We continue to look for ways to offer you that clean, minimalist feel we're offering on Silvrback.1
Second, for those who use or wish to use the Bio page, the label is now user-defined. Default remains Bio. For some users, particularly organizations, labels such as "About Us" or "About" may be more desirable. All other aspects of the page's function remain the same.2
Third, you can now use conventional footnotes in your articles in Markdown. The faq for that is here. I threw a couple of these in this post for illustration purposes. This function renders conventional footnote formats, not inline. For WYSIWYG/wordprocessor users, there is not a specific footnote feature, but the function can be mimicked by using superscripts and font sizing to create the same result.
Finally, you can now upload pdf files and label and link them into your articles from both the Markdown and WYSIWYG editors. The faq for this is here.
That's all for now. Thanks for writing with us!
