The Hits Keep Coming!
Subscriber List Management, Article Scheduling, and One More Goodie
January 18, 2016Greetings All!
In case you thought we were sleeping after the turn of the new year, this little note is to assure you that we have not. And the more important reason for the note is to tell you what has happened (in case you didn't notice) and what is about to happen.
First, we upgraded the options you have to manage your subscriber list, including editing/adding/deleting members and uploading/downloading subscriber lists. Our pitch here is that your data is yours and that includes your subscriber list. So, have at it.
Second, you'll soon find that you have another option in terms of managing your articles. As I hope you know by now, we added a convenient way to tag your articles, and made it so you can suggest other articles you've written to your readers. I encourage you to use both of these features, every time with every article.
I expect that within the next week or so, you'll be able to schedule your article posts. When it is launched, you will be able to set when an article publishes to your blog. This will be managed from the Advance Post Settings (grey cog at lower-right of your article page). This has been a request from a number of you, so I expect it will be a valued feature.
Finally, we've just moved to the testing platform a second editor for Silvrback. Unlike Markdown, this editor is best described as what-you-see-is-what-you-get, or WYSIWYG. And, for most of us, it is one we're likely more familiar with. It feels more like a typical word processor-like editor akin to Microsoft Word or such similar commercial editors.
It will have more formatting options and we expect it will attract a fair number of users when up and running. The trick of course is to get it up and running - and running reliably well. Hence, testing.
As currently envisioned, you will have the option to choose which editor to use. Assuming development and testing go well, we hope to have this live within the next 30 days (hope I'm not hanging myself here by saying this).
I hope you see that we are committed to making Silvrback not only a viable product, but one that will attract writers from many areas of interest. Put out the word to your acquaintances, colleagues and friends - give Silvrback a look. We'll work hard to earn and keep their trust, as we hope we do yours.
Thanks for Silvrbacking with us....
Kermit
