Admin Blog Notifications
September 23, 2022Hi,
You'll soon see a new link in your account menu which should appear below your subscriber link. I expect this should be uploaded within the next few days.
When it is, you will see an information box appear describing what this link is. Once you click 'got it', the box will close and you shouldn't see it again.
The link label reads Update and should have a light green circle beside it. This will stay lit as long as you have not clicked the link to check out the latest post on the Silvrback admin blog.
Why is this being added to blog accounts?
Most of us do not check the admin blog to see what's happening on Silvrback. We log into our account and get to writing. After all, that's why we signed up.
The issue with this is that most of us don't know what's happening on the platform we've chosen to write on. Further, most of us do not subscribe to the Silvrback blog and thus don't get notifications directly from the blog.
I realize that we're trying to reduce our inbox noise, so not signing up for notifications is one way to do this - though I must say we're not pumping out blog posts that frequently.
I've recently interacted with a few users via our admin email and from these interactions I've learned that users don't know a feature or capability exists. This is especially true of longer-term users.
Aside from a couple of lengthy gaps in upgrades (think COVID), we steadily add capabilities for our users. We'd like you to know about them.
So, we've created this subtle reminder in your account when there's something new on Silvrback you might find useful.
On Another Note
We're currently working through the requirements for the new Google Analytics G4 upgrade which is available now. The UA version will be shut down in July 2023. I'm sure you've already been getting emails from Google on this if you're an Analytics user. As soon as we get this sorted out, I'll be posting what you need to be doing on Silvrback.
Until then, keep up your writing! Presenting it to the world is our pleasure.
